WINEMAKER NOTES

SMV, is how it all started so many moons ago with our “Rhone Rangers”, the first blend we made. This is our 2nd last vintage from ‘outside’ the Swartland. We have made and bought grapes from the Kronendal farm, for the last three years and the grapes are exceptional.

The 2020 vintage was special in the sense that all three cultivars were ripe at the same time and we harvested them together, to ferment together. We will only be releasing a small batch for now – approx. 550 bottles.
Rich and spicy on the nose, with Provence herbs and a slight pepper laced nose. Bold & grippy, yet savoury tannins, finishing off with a great smooth and fruit driven mouth.
